Short: Random WB pattern preset file at startup. Architecture: m68k-amigaos There are a lot of programs out there that allows you to get a random Workbench backdrop each time your Amiga boots, but sadly most of them have one thing in common, they will only give you a random WB backdrop, the Window background will be ignored (it will be the same each time). This is not a solution that I am satisfied with, because in addition to a random WB background, I also want a matching window background. The answer to this problem is to use Preset files that are selected at random instead of only the picture files. Each Preset file are made by selecting both the picture that should be used for the Workbench and the one that should be used for the Windows. Helene is a program that will allow you to do this in a quick and easy way by using a GUI. You simply select the pictures to be used for Workbench and Windows backgrounds, then you save this information as a Preset file. After you have created a couple of Preset files, you can use a small script for selecting one at random. There are no need to edit text files or things like that, since everything will happen automatically.
