Short: Fixes problem with jumping bootpics Author: Nils Petersen Uploader: grrehm cip e-technik uni-erlangen de Type: os20/wb Architecture: m68k-amigaos If you have a boot piccy installed on your hard disc you know the problem: When IPrefs starts up, the screen jumps a bit up and to the left, depending on your overscan settings. Most people say there's no clean workaround ... No problem, as Kick >=2.0 still uses the file DEVS:system-configuration, that contains overscan information (even when Kick <=1.3 couldn't use it). This file is parsed as soon as the Amiga boots and the settings are active before the boot pic is loaded. FixPrefs 1.1 solves the quirk problem by writing the 2.0 settings to this 1.3 system-configuration - with a 304 bytes executable! Amiga makes it possible.
