Short: SysLock (HD-protection passcode program) Author: Wilfred Kunst / wilfred-k@chello.nl Uploader: wilfred-k chello nl Type: util/boot Version: 3.3 Replaces: SysLock31.lha Requires: 68k Amiga (020+ recommended) Architecture: m68K-amigaos Distribution: Aminet -------------------------------------------------------------------- What is it? ----------- It's a passcode program I wrote some time ago to protect your harddisk from any unauthorized persons. How to install SysLock? ----------------------- Copy "SysLock" + "SysLock.info" to "Sys:System" directory. Copy "sl.cfg" to "S:" directory. (Don't panick, if for some reasons you lose the config file. In that case the program saves it's own default config file in the "S:" directory.) Then edit the startup-sequence in "S:" dir, and type somewhere at the beginning: "Sys:System/SysLock". Safe the startup-sequence file. Now reboot your Amiga. That's all! How does it work? ----------------- When you use the program for the first time, you are asked to enter a 5-digit code. Just press "12345" (default code). With the cursor left+right-keys you can choose an option, then press enter. (Or F1 to F4 keys). A smart thing to do is to change the current (default) code by choosing the option "New Code"! * Options: Exit (F1):> Quits the program. New Code (F2):> Change your code (Remember, only a 5-digit code!). Sys-Info (F3):> Info about your system confuguration. About (F4):> Info. * Bugs? No, but let me know if you encounter any. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- sYsLoCk V3.3=FREEWARE wilfred-k@chello.nl -------------------------------------------------------------------------
