Short: Simple Gui for LhA, LZX, UnZip & Xad. Author: Roger Håseth Uploader: panterhz yahoo no (Roger Håseth) Type: util/arc Version: 1.9 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 2.0.4 --+ Introduction +-- mARK is a very simplistic requester based script, which allows you to easily extract files from archives. mARK does this by acting as a kind of front-end to various (un)archivers, where it will try to use whatever suitable ones it finds on your Amiga. You will be able to extract all files from an archive, or you can use pattern matching for extracting just a few. mARK is also able to create lists that shows the contents of file archives, where the lists will automatically be opened by using MultiView. With the correct (un)archivers in place, mARK is able to extract lha, lzx & zip archives, and with the xadmaster system installed, almost any kind of archive type is supported. --+ Requirements +-- Any Amiga with Kickstart 2.04 or higher. For mARK to be any useful, you will need some kind of (un)archivers installed on your Amiga. A basic setup might be LhA and the xadmaster system, just pick the xadmaster version that best suits your Amiga, and don't forget about the free keyfile as well. Here's where it all can be found on Aminet: util/arc/lha_68k.lha util/arc/xadmaster000.lha util/arc/xadmaster020.lha util/arc/xadmaster060.lha util/arc/xadmaster-key.lha This distribution contains a few other files that might be required. They were gathered from the below archives, where only the most essential file from each archive is included here. For more stuff, just download the following: util/batch/GetString100.lha util/libs/ReqToolsUsr.lha util/sys/MSys-1.2.lha util/batch/RequestFileR3.lha --+ Installation +-- This is really simple! Just copy mARK to wherever you like. A proper location for it might be the Utilities drawer on your Workbench partition. Then start the Install_Files script for installation of some files that might be needed by mARK. Have in mind that only files required for your system will be copied, and that no existing files will be overwritten. --+ Version history +-- V1.9 - mARK does now support xadmaster's ability to extract files from disk images (ADF, DMS, ISO and HDF). But it requires that the images have correct file extensions though. --+ Background info +-- The mARK script is something that originally was created for my Amiga911 Maker project, but I decided to release it as a seperate distribution as well. This in case somebody will find it useful. The included version of mARK has been slightly modified in order to make it somewhat more generic.
