Short: Get out of your body with the binaural beat Author: mattkane@freenet.hut.fi (Matti Niskanen) Uploader: mattkane freenet hut fi (Matti Niskanen) Type: mods/misc Requires: Open mind and stereo headphones Architecture: generic This module was done quickly after a healer asked me to create such a sound. I know this is quite close to the Hemi-Sync (r) technique by Monroe Institutes (http://www.monroeinstitutes.org). Enhance your learning and perhaps even get out of your body. :-) Trackered by Matt Kane 12.12.1998. Put the headphones on and play the module. By default the note "A-2" is played. Try other notes to find the best sound for yourself. According to the Hemi-Sync (r) technique, the correct frequency is found out by monitoring the brain waves. Since this is quite difficult to perform at home, you can only try to find the correct frequency. I think that you are close when the sound begins to move from ear to ear or you hear a third sound, which in fact is generated by your brains. Remember to use the headphones with total stereo sound separation to gain the binaural beat. Use low volume and listen in silence. No other sound may disturb you. I strongly courage you to visit the Monroe Institutes homepage, which has lots of information about the Hemi-Sync (r) technique. I think the samples can be looped so they form a clear sine wave. I made them to tap because the instructions from the healer told me to do so. Here's his advices: The left headphone | The right headphone -------------------+-------------------- higher frequency | lower frequency | continuous sound | 80 hits/min | 240 hits/min | beating of drums/tapping | \ / 40 minutes This Protracker module is only 30 minutes because of the limit of 128 patterns. I am going to burn the module to an audio CD and give it to the healer. When played from a compact disk, the tempo of the sound will always be correct. Email to the module author: mattkane@lappi.plai.fi mattkane@freenet.hut.fi http://lappi.plai.fi/~mattkane/ Here are some of my old notes about the Hemi-Sync (r) technique: The right channel plays a frequency which is 1-16Hz higher or lower than the one the left channel plays. The suitable frequencies for Hemi-Sync (r) are between 100Hz and 500Hz. And here is the original letter from Monroe Institutes in the year 1996: "Use your Amiga with lower sound frequencies. Use frequencies between 100 and 500 Hz. Separate the left and right channels by the amount you want to use for a binaural beat. Use frequency separations of 1-4Hz for sleep or deep meditation, 4-8Hz for meditation and innovation as well as creative visualization, use 8-12Hz for enhanced learning, and 12-16Hz for awake and alert concentration." And of course I take no responsibility if you go nuts or get harmed somehow else by listening the sound. :)
