Short: A picture editor written in German Author: toelke@informatik.uni-freiburg.de (Juergen Toelke) Uploader: toelke informatik uni-freiburg de (Juergen Toelke) Type: gfx/edit Requires: at least 10k of stack Architecture: m68k-amigaos TurboPaint is a picture editor written in German language. Download this text with the program package, because it doesn't contain a separate manual ! If you want to use it, you can do the following: - Set the stack to 10000 Byte or higher. - Start TurboPaint using the DOS command "TurboPaint". - Draw onto the opened screen with your mouse. You can change the drawing color by calling one of the subitems of the menu "Farbe". - Save the picture by calling the menu subitem "Allgemeines/Bild speichern/normal" and writing the filename (and path) into the opened text gadget. - You can write text into the picture, too: simply position the mouse to the beginning of the text to write and insert it via keyboard. Press ENTER to end the text. All other functions will be blocked, from the moment of the first key pressed to the moment, when you've pressed ENTER. - Call the menu "Allgemeines/Ende" to end the programm. - A saved picture can be loaded again by "TurboPaint -f filename" for editing or by "TurboShow -f filename" to simply see it. - You can also operate with a compressed file format by saving the picture with "Allgemeines/Bild speichern/komprimiert" and loading it again by "TurboPaint -c filename.k" or "TurboShow -c filename.k" (I use the ending .k for compressed pictures) As you can see, the program has much more menu items and abilities than I've described here. More information can be obtained from http://TurboPaint.home.pages.de , where you can find a good configuration for TurboPaint with many example pictures and a complete guide (in German).
