Short: Raytracer with many features. Freeware! Author: e4geeln@etek.chalmers.se (Marcus Geelnard) Uploader: e4geeln etek chalmers se (Marcus Geelnard) Type: gfx/3d Version: 1.0 Architecture: m68k-amigaos RayLab is a new freeware raytracer. It is not very fast, yet it can produce very good looking images. It is written in highly portable code, as I like to use it on the ultra-fast machines at the university (but it is developed on the Amiga, ofcourse!). The source-code is also included in this archive. RayLab 1.0 (rev 1) features: - Many primitives: Sphere, ellipsoid, plane, box, triangle, disc and cylinder - Highly configurable surface textures: Color, colormap, reflection, phong highlight, pattern (e.g. checker, rings, gradient, spots...) etc. - Transformations of objects and textures: Rotate, scale and move - Smart antialiasing - Display to screen while rendering - A quite simple and easy-to-use description-language (RayLab is text-oriented)
