Short: Exvania or bomberman clone (preview) Author: matthew@scratchy.org.nz (Matthew Goode) Uploader: matthew scratchy org nz (Matthew Goode) Type: game/misc Version: 1.0 Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 1.3 Distribution: Aminet This is a game that wasn't. It was originally meant to be an Exvania clone, but I just let it as a Bomberman clone due to the lack of joystick buttons. Most of the game engine was done, but I lost interest, and my computer was nicked with the source code (included is all that I have that remains - I haven't recovered the graphics files yet). Technically it supports two players but that would require hacking/recompiling to get to work. To play, use a joystick (port 2), click to lay bombs. Behind bricks that can be exploded are fire icons (which increase the reach of the bombs laid), +1s (which increase the number of bombs layable at once), and different coloured shoes (which translate to different speeds). The computer controlled players use a simple AI where they won't go where a bomb blast is set to be. They do not take into account obstacles - so if a blast is cut short by a destroyable square, the computer will still act as though the explosion continues on. To exit this game press either Esc or F10. Press F8 or F9 to re-start an example level. (The same level with different graphic sets - the green/blue one with the "sperm" NPCs is better). One of the NPCs pushes the player, and the other slows them down. NPCs can be killed but reappear.
