Short: "Excellent fun" - Amiga Format Author: james.daniels@apex-designs.net (James Daniels) Uploader: james daniels apex-designs net (James Daniels) Type: game/2play Version: v2.80 Requires: 1Mb hard disk space, 2Mb chip mem and 1Mb fast mem Architecture: m68k-amigaos You've probably heard of Scorched Earth or Scorched Tanks (the Amiga conversion) - or maybe even Worms? If you like those games you'll love this. Features include: - Load bitmaps as game maps; this includes Worms levels! You can easily create and import you own designs in almost any paint program. Comes with 50 demonstration levels. - Or, the game can generate its own maps in any of six different terrain styles. - A large range of computer intelligence settings. - Up to seven players. - Training mode. - 45 different weapons. - Editable 'talk' files. - Automatically saves configuration to disk. - Smooth 50Hz update with parallax scrolling. - Almost 50 people have been involved in its development. - Different levels have different wind strengths and times of day! - Configurable gravity strengths, cash rewards, interest levels and starting money. - Toggle 'tunnelling' on and off. - Extensive built-in instructions. - NTSC compatible. Improvements since the previous version (v2.60): - This archive only includes the bare essentials you need to get going, which means that it will fit on a 720K floppy. The downside is that you get less tunes and levels included in the archive. If you already have an older version of FA, copy the contents of the 'Levels' and 'Music' directories in the old version over the ones included in this archive. Alternatively, you can download 'FA_LevelsX.lha' (for some extra levels), and 'FA_MusicX.lha' (for some extra tunes). - Made fully HD-only - should work correctly on all systems now. - More 'quips.' - Due to popular demand, the in-game interface has been radically re-designed. - Nifty new introduction. - Ability to add and remove tunes from the 'Music' directory. Note: 2Mb Chip RAM, 1Mb Fast RAM and 1Mb hard disk space required. Accelerated machine recommended. Email: james.daniels@apex-designs.net Web: http://www.apex-designs.net/
