Short: V2.1-Chat and paint with a friend using a modem or serial link! Author: Andrew Crowe Uploader: andrewcrowe enterprise net Type: comm/misc Architecture: m68k-amigaos Serial Paint V2.1 (beta+bugfix) -\|/---------------------------------\|/- Anyone who used the first version will probably be wondering why its taken so long to update. Its simply because I didn't think I could add anything to make it worth a re-write, until now. Because this time, you can use a modem! (although I havn't tested this yet, please email me if it works;). Also, if anyone knows how to make a 'net' version then please let me know. Requirements -------------- * A serial port * 2 Amigas with WB2.04+ (might work with 1.3) * A 5 wire Null-Modem connection between them or 2 modems at least 9600bps. (Might work with 3 wire serial lead) Usage ------- To use this program all you have to do is run it on both amigas, then select what type of connection (Null-modem or Real modem), then dial up or wait for a connection. Once serial paint has connected you can draw simply by holding the left mouse button down in the black area of the screen on the left. You can select the colour you want with the buttons along the bottom, and choose various options with buttons along the right. If the whole thing locks up then pressing Ctrl-C should quit the program, but this shouldn't happen Here is Serial Paints History: Serial Paint V2.1: * Fixed a bug that could crash the Amiga. Serial Paint V2.0: * The whole thing now has a GUI written in the XEN style. * Now you can select from many different colours to draw with. * You can use a 'Fill' tool now. * Once you and your friend have drawn a good picture you can save you work as an IFF. Serial Paint V1.0: * Original public Release, fixed connection bug. Serial Paint V0.5: * Not released, re-wrote modem sending routine Serial Paint V0.0: * Not released, first null-modem experiment.
