Short: M1230XA, Blizzard III AIBB Modules Author: henryk.richter@stud.uni-rostock.de Uploader: henryk richter stud uni-rostock de Type: util/moni Architecture: m68k-amigaos 2 AIBB 6.x load modules. On request I uploaded them. One is a Blizzard III equipped with a 50MHz 030 CPU, a 50Mhz 68882 FPU and 8 MB Ram. The second one is a Microbotics 1230XA board , 50MHz 68030 CPU, 4 MB Ram, 68882 FPU (this FPU is now on the Blizzard). You will notice a small speedup against other M1230 Modules. This board has got the feature to set the Ram timing by the supplied software. So I used only 3 instead of 5 waitstates for the Ram which made it >30% faster. Buggs/Defect Hints: - Don`t use Quantum Prodrive Maverick 540A HD`s in connection with Blizzard II and III boards. Else you`ll surely get total system crashes with Fast Ram installed. - Some M1230 Boards don`t come along with more than 4MB Ram. Believe me, I was forced to buy another board because of this bug.
