Short: Wb-title animator :) Architecture: m68k-amigaos Authors Boingball - Marcin 'MisterQ' Kielesinski, Boingball.prefs - Rafaî 'Gordo' Kolpak Version: 1.1 Date: 06-09-2001 Type: util/wb WWW: n/a yet What is it? Boingball is another software for making your WB/Magellan look nicer. It plays an animation wherever you want on WB/Magellan desktop. Requirements: datatypes.library (v44+ recommended for better effect) #?.datatype (depended on animation format) reqtools.library AGA chipset (CGX/P96 recommended for better effect) 68020+ CPU (040+) OS3.0+ Some FAST memory ;) MUI for boingball.prefs Installation: Copy Boingball program and Anim drawer to WBStartup or edit Boingball tooltypes and type a path to boingball.config. If there's nothing, Boingball search config file in env:, envarc:, progdir:, s: If you set a path to config file in tooltypes you can run Boingball few times. Each copy of Boingball can play different animation and can be placed wherever you want on WB/Magellan desktop. To do that, just clone a boingball icon, rename it to Boingball2 (3,4....10) and change a path to another boingball2.config. Of course first you must edit a boingball2.config :)... and that's all folks. Usage: Simple. Run Boingball.prefs and load a boingball.config file and edit your own prefs. Choose an animation, screen, FPS and other. Finally save changes. You can do it by hand also. There's a keywords a boingball will recognize: MASK - play animation with/without mask. Choose 1 or 0 REFR - If 1, refreshing is on FRMS - Frames (choose from 1 to .....how much you want :) DRCT - path to animation file (Default - progdir:anim1/) PUBS - name of public screen for Boingball PRIO - set a priority for Boingball (range -126 to 126) POSX - horizontal position (from 0 to actual screen width) POSY - vertical position (from 0 to actual screen height) SPED - set animation speed (Range 0 to 999) 0 is the fastest Attention! Key-words are case sensitive! Each key-word with arguments should be written in its own line. Boingball is a commodity and it's controlled by Exchange. Animation frames should be an IFF, ILBM brushes. If necessary Boingball can play a *.jpg animation if you have a proper datatype ;) Thanks to: Boingball is by Marcin 'MisterQ' Kielesinski. It was create because of lack of "something" what can look nice and is not static on WB/Magellan desktop. Also thx to Rafaî 'Gordo' Koîpak for MUI Boingball.prefs and his precious time he "wasted" to do this ;) The best effects Boingball can give you if you'll run it on GFX card. On AGA chips can be some animation refreshing problems. Isn't an Amiga&GFX card a standard? ;) How much and why so expensive? ;) Boingball is absolutely free. But be nice if you send me an e-mail if you use a Boingball. It won't be wrong if you send me a your pack of nice animation. ;) If you have a problem with "strange" animation files, just get from Aminet a G-DEC file (gfx/conv). It helps you to convert an AnimGIF to a single frames. To do: - other language versions - animation scaling - PPC, MorphOs versions? - any your ideas? ;)
