Short: Extracts Fileinfo (MP3/Aminet/diz support) Author: laser@stud.uni-hannover.de Uploader: fredrik ismyren usa net Type: comm/misc Version: 39.553 Replaces: FiDED39547.lha Requires: 68020 Architecture: m68k-amigaos Fredrik: It seems that something went wrong when Kai uploaded this archive in May 98. Well .. here's another try! This is yet another FileID-extractor for fileinformation (file_id.diz) as found in AmiNet-files, BBS-systems, etc. What makes it different from other FileID-extractors is : - Supports MPEG audio files - Can be used to extract single files - Can operate in Aminet-mode, i.e. look out for readme files - Recursion into subdirectories - Huge graphical user interface (useable w/o GUI as well) - Extracts faster than other programs - Multidirectory support - Different ways of sorting - No external programs (except LHa,Unzip,Lzx,cfx) required - 1000s of options - The program is continuously updated and will be expanded even further Supported filetypes are: Aminet-.readme-files Exe, Dms, Txt, Lha/Lzh, Lzx, Zip, MPEG-audio files all other files are examined via cfx (Crunched File Examiner by Bob Rye), if present. Remeber that FiDED is EMail-Ware, which means that you have to send me an E-Mail or Snailmail if you use the program regularly. I'll then keep you informed about future releases and updates if you want to. V39.429 (30.10.1997) Ninth release to the Aminet · New tooltype/option CHOPFILENAMES chops long filenames · New tooltype/option AMINETMODE searches for .readme files to get a file-description (and ignores #?.readme and INDEX files) · New tooltype/option SIZEMODE allows of different output-modes · New tooltype/option DATESEPARATOR includes a separating line between subsequent dates in the dirfile · Fixed pseudo-bug: The docs incorrectly stated that one could use C-placeholders like "\n" in custom- strings - this didn't work.
