Short: Patch to improve the ZX Datatype palette Author: unsatisfactory@bigfoot.com (Chris Young),gerard@void.jump.org (Gerard Sweeney) Uploader: unsatisfactory bigfoot com (Chris Young) Type: util/dtype Version: 1.0 (updates zxdt to 39.4) Requires: util/dtype/ZX_DataType.lha (zx.datatype 39.3) Architecture: m68k-amigaos util/misc/gpatch.lha Changes the ZX Datatype colour palette to more accurate Spectrum colours. To install this patch, double-click on the "install" icon. A window should appear showing "Installing patches... OK". If this does not happen, please ensure: You have zx.datatype version 39.3 (18/11/1996) installed in SYS:Classes/Datatypes You have GPatch in C: - I use version 2.6 (18/11/1998) If both the above apply, send me an email with the error you get and I'll do my best to work out what the problem is. Please note that your original copy of zx.datatype will be renamed zx.datatype.old - if something goes wrong with the patching, this will need to be renamed back to zx.datatype before you will be able to load SCRs through Datatypes again. Thanks to Gerard Sweeney for, erm, "encouraging" me to embark on this project. Fortunately it didn't take very long. SAVESCREEN.ZXAM As a small bonus, I've included Gerard Sweeney's modified ZXAM IFF save script. Note that the palette on the script and the one in the patched ZXDT are not identical. DISCLAIMER I accept no responsibility for any damage or loss of data caused by the patched version of zx.datatype or the installation script. gpatch and the original version of zx.datatype are not the responsibility of the author of this patch. This patch is not by or officially endorsed by the author of zx.datatype - All use is at your own risk.
