Short: Catalog files into an AmigaGuide doc. Author: sys2jal@doc.ntu.ac.uk Uploader: sys2jal doc ntu ac uk Type: text/hyper Architecture: m68k-amigaos Do you happen to have a large collection of text files? Are they stored in one central location with many seperating sub-directories? If so, then GuideCompiler may just be able to make your text viewing life easier. Why? Well GuideCompiler will scan an unlimited amount of source directories recursively if required, and build up a nice looking AmigaGuide document of links pointing to all the files it encounters. All AmigaGuide files are linked using the AmigaGuide link instruction for easy retracing back to the main guide and any other file is linked to a user defined viewer. If this viewer is not specified, GuideCompiler will use MultiView (if so OS3 required). Using a multi file viewer like MultiView or MegaView, means that GuideCompiler can be used for more than just text file compilation and it's really just up to you to find other uses for it. GuideCompiler produces well laidout AmigaGuide documents that make moving through a directory tree and accessing files for viewing as easy as 1..2...3 :) Try it!! NameStrip 1.0 is also included in this archive and will scan a directory tree and remove spaces from filenames, tidying them up. It is needed with GuideCompiler, because it cannot handle files which have spaces in them! ** THIS PROGRAM NEEDS REXXMAST RUNNING! - READ THE DOCS ** Version 1.2a Changes/Additions: - Fixed bug in MultiSource that would corrupt guide if a specified source directory only had directories and no files. - Implemented global preferences system. NOANSI supported. -- ******_******************************************************* ****** * _ // C= * Simpsons, Highlander, ST:TNG, Kung Fu: TLC, X-Files * * \ // Amiga * Letterman Fan and Amiga owner of the first order :) * * X/ Rulez * * * ------------ - ----------- --------------------------------------- * * A1200/030/40Mhz/6Meg/730HD/AppleCD300+ SCSI2 CD-ROM/1942 DualSync * * ************* ************** ********************************* *** * * .James Allen. * EMail: cc022jwa01@ntu.ac.uk * AI/ * * AKA $LiNG$hOT/DiMeNTiA U.K * sys2jal@doc.ntu.ac.uk * AI/ * * **************************** ********************************* *** * * Try my web page at URL: http://www.york.ac.uk/~dmh11/slingshot * ********************************************************************
