Short: Vote for Mascot for the Amiga Author: Eric Schwartz (the pictures) and Aaron Digulla (this text :) Uploader: digulla fh-konstanz de Type: pics/misc Architecture: generic Hello there fellow Amiga fan, Since C= has had so many problems with marketing in the past, here is an idea to make it better. As you might now, advertising works by making people recognise something and when they want to buy a similar thing, they wander around and eventually, they will see something that reminds them of the product. If you are unsure what to buy, then this will draw you toward the product, since you remember it and people tend to buy "known" things. Furtunately, one can't force people to buy something. So this is, what this is all about. The Amiga needs something, which will the customer immediately remind him of the Amiga, when he or she sees it. Here is my proposal: Amy the Squirrel Pro: o She looks really _nice_ (sexy :) o An Amiga fan made her with DPaint o The creator of her is a professional so there is no problem with getting more pictures of her (probably less offending then this one). Contra: o The new owner of the Amiga has to accept her o Eric Schwartz has to sell her to new owner of Amiga The picture is from "The History of Amy the Squirrel" by Eric Schwartz, who of course owns all copyrights and everything. So here is how it works. Get the file "Mascot.lha" off AMINET (in "pics/misc") and have a look at her (if you don't know her already) and make up your mind and finally send an EMail to digulla@fh-konstanz.de stating whether you like or dislike her as a mascot for Amiga. I will count the votes and make a public announcement later with the total number of all votes and the number of pro and contra votes (no names will be spread except you ask for it). -- Aaron "Optimizer" Digulla.
