QUICK OVERVIEW ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ If you or one of your friends own a Macintosh®, you might know that nearly all data for programms are stored in a special format, called "resource". This structured file can be seen as a containership (resourcefile) with different containers (resource types, e.g. "snd "). Each of this containers holds some objects (the real data, e.g. the sounddata). With MacResourcer you can play and extract two common sound resourcetypes used: "snd " mono and stereo, 8 and 16 bit (compressed sounds not supported) and "SOUN". The programm also accepts other resource types and lets you save their rawdata. HISTORY ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ 1.1 o removed a bug that caused a runtime error for some resource files o now parses the "snd " resource correctly, both format 1 and 2 (with standard sound header, extended sound header or compressed sound header) o playback now stereo if possible and mono sound now from left and right speaker o eliminated problems with sounds >130K (tested with a sound of 2MB) o save correct iff files (also stereo) o removed support for saving raw sound files o many new options, especially to make it easy to extract great number of resources in one pass
