We did not go over the songs before recording and did them all in 1-3 takes. There are moments you can tell:) This song is about my years in Northern California. An incredibly, beautiful place, and not without it's pitfalls. I did a lot of changing there, some good and some not so good, but, I still miss being there sometimes. Eldorado County Eldorado County so far and yet so near clouding in the rear view I watched it disappear faces in my memory good things in my heart a little pain in what remains I think that's where I'll start Eldorado County a jewel amid the pines the salmon run, the all night fun a place for crossing lines I walk that walk, I talk that talk learn a thing or two sifting through the ashes gonna find a love that's true Eldorado County it takes a piece of you standing down on stateline Jesus, what a view all them down and outs and dreamers together and alone you look a little closer you can see them bones (can't you see my bones?) Eldorado County gonna put you to the test just this side of Eden bow down to the west Eldorado County under watchful eye in Eldorado County, innocence will die. Copyright © 2000 John Vincent
