Short: statistical analysis w/ GNUplot support Author: Dirk Melcher (http://www.usf.uos.de/~breiter/tools/statist/index.en.html) Uploader: ikepgh yahoo com (IKE) Type: misc/sci Version: 1.3.0 Requires: 68k, gnuplot 3.7.1, ixpipe Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.9.0 This is a quick and dirty port of statist-1.3.0 that I did for AmigaOS 68k. The Amiga seems to be lacking in statistical analysis programs and hopefully someone may find this package useful. Send email/feedback to: ikepgh@yahoo.com Thanks! IKE http://www.ezcyberspace.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Installation: 1. Copy the "statist" executable to wherever you want it 2. Install 'gnuplot-bin.lha' (from Aminet) somewhere in your path, i.e. "gg:bin/gnuplot" *Note: you must rename the "gnuplot.xxxx" executable that you use for your system to just "gnuplot" in order for "statist" to find it... http://main.aminet.net/gfx/misc/gnuplot-bin.lha 3. You must have "IXPIPE" mounted on your system. Install 'ixemul-bin.lha' (from geek gadgets, currently mirrored on the 'back2roots' server) at http://ftp.back2roots.org/geekgadgets/amiga/m68k/alpha/ixemul/native/ixemul-bin.lha on your system and add this line to your user-startup file: Mount IXPIPE: *Note: The file in your 'Devs' drawer must be named "MountList", so if you don't already have a "MountList" file there, use the one that comes with the ixemul distro (Mountlist.ixpipe),but you must rename it to just "MountList" otherwise, if you have one in the Devs drawer already, just paste the contents of 'Mountlist.ixpipe' into your existing "MountList" file. 4. That's it! ------------------------------------------------------------ Running statist: statist yourdatafile.dat There are some example .dat files in (of all places...) the "examples" directory... ------------------------------------------------------------ Known Bugs: - Program does not properly terminate when quit....any ideas??? - To close the gnuplot plot window click on the "front/back" gadget??? Not sure why for this either... - Everything else seems to work (relatively) well... Haven't tested it on anything but WinUAE ------------------------------------------------------------ How to recompile: type "Make" while in the 'src' directory ------------------------------------------------------------ Compiled using: WinUAE, gcc 2.95.3-4
